A Pallet of Pillows

I had so much fun making pillow covers with invisible zippers for the Swoon project, that I went a little crazy.  Jo-Ann Fabrics was selling off their discontinued custom fabric samples at $1 each. They were pretty much the perfect size to cover one side of a 14″ pillow. I scavenged the pile for anything that worked with my decorating style.  I had decided to make “a few” pillows for around the house and it turned into eleven pillows.  Some were for decoration, and some were for cat defense.  I was trying to convince our cat Beau (forever in our hearts) to lay somewhere besides our only non-leather couch.  It didn’t work.  This was the only real learning experience, and one that I should have known already – cats will do what cats will do.  But I had fun making pillow covers!

When we moved to the coast we sold that couch with our house, as we would no longer have a formal living room.  So most of the pillows are patiently waiting in a closet, until they once again have a purpose to serve.
