Note: OMG.  How did I not blog in over five months?!  Sorry folks.  Can I say I’ve been busy???  I’ll make more of an effort.  🙂  Onward…

When I did this pattern last year I really enjoyed it.  I love that there’s only four fabrics and just one block!  So it was not surprising to me that I wanted to make it again less than a year later.  My friend Susie was having another baby (to keep baby Ava company), and I thought this would be a great gift.

I chose four green batiks this time, with the usual minky on the back.  As I did previously, I adjusted the pattern a bit to accommodate the width of the minky by removing ½ of a block per row.

It went together quickly and Karen and I chose the e2e pattern Swirl and Twirl.  (Another note: I recently became aware that pantograph and e2e or edge to edge are not exactly the same thing.  My bad.  Karen’s been doing edge to edge on my quilts for some time now, ever since she got her Innova longarm.  So much to learn!)

Susie tells me that Amelia seems to like her quilt!  Smart baby.  🙂
